Thanksgiving day is an annual national holiday celebrated on various dates in different countries. In the United States, Thanks giving day is observed on the fourth Thursday in November and on the other hand it has been observed in Canada on the second Monday in October since 1957.
Story behind Thanksgiving Day
On this national holiday, families and friends get together and celebrate the day
- With a traditional Thanks giving meal which consists of turkey, bread stuffing, potatoes, cranberries, pumpkin pie.

In November,1621, after the pilgrims’ first corn harvest proved successful, Governor William Bradford organized a celebratory feast that is acknowledged today as one of the first Thanks giving celebrations in the colonies. After that in every year Thanks giving day is observed as an occasion for the harvest and other blessings of the past year.
