On 15th August,1947, the Indian Flag was hoisted by the first prime minister of India, Pandit Jawahar Lal Neheru, at Red Fort in Delhi. Now it is the tradition that has since been followed by every prime minister with an address to the nation.
This year the Central Government of India has taken a programme “Har Ghar Tiranga” to celebrate “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahatsov”. Indian hoist the tricolor in their homes to develop the connection with the National Flag.

The Holy Evening or All Saints Day was celebrated on 18th Century to honor saints. This day now called as Halloween Day.
In Ireland, Halloween was also known as Samhain, which means end of summer. To celebrate, people were dressed up with spooky costumes and lighting fire at night. This spooky attire was to keep the ghosts away. The Samhain festival was celebrated to mark up the start of cold winter and the end of the summer.
It is believed that in the night of 31st October, the living and the dead world clouding over. From the spiritual world, the ghosts can see the living world and can come down on earth on 31st October.

The day is celebrated as Gandhi Jayanti to honour and pay gratitude to the father of nation. Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, popularly known as Mahatma Gandhi was born on 2nd October,1869 in Porbandar, Gujrat, India.
One of the great patriot of India’s Independence Movement, Mahatma Gandhi was the main demonstrator of non-violent civil disobedience. His leadership on India’s Independence Movement compelled the british rulers to move out of India.
